About this guide

The Discovery Guide to Elementary Schools is a set of plain guides for parents choosing a primary or elementary school, especially families who move between countries.

Not a school

This website is a guide. It is not a school, and it is not connected with any school, district or school group named Discovery or anything similar. We do not run classes, admit pupils or take applications.

How we write

Each guide sets out the questions a parent can ask and the facts that are the same from school to school, such as curriculum structures and school starting ages. We check those facts against official or curriculum-body sources and revise guides when rules change. We do not rate or rank schools.

Finding schools

To search for international schools by country and city, we point readers to the International Schools Database, which lists schools with their curricula and fees.
